I like music. A lot. Which means I sometimes go to concerts (when my funds allow it). Something about
the experience of going to concerts bothers me though.
Most of the time, the tickets you get for concerts are pretty bland. They're blank with just some basic
information on when and where the concert is happening.
This made me think: why not redesign my own concert tickets? That way, I can make them more personal and
visually appealing. So that's what I did.
This is an ongoing personal project where I redesign concert tickets for concerts I attend.
Tools:
Whenever I attend a concert, I like to have a ticket that reflects the experience and the music. Sadly
enough, most concert tickets are pretty generic and boring. But it wasn't always that way.
Back in the day, concert tickets were often designed with unique artwork and graphics that represented the
band or the event. These tickets were more than just a piece of paper; they were a keepsake that fans would
cherish.
Designing my own concert tickets allows me to add a personal touch and make the memories even more special.
I designed all these tickets in Figma. I started by gathering some inspiration from existing concert tickets
on Pinterest.
After having done that, I focus on the specific artist or band I'm designing the ticket for. I take a look
at the posters for their tour to get a sense of the visual style and color scheme.
Then, I try to find a matching font that fits with the style. I usually try numerous different fonts before
settling on one or two that I think work best.
Here are some examples of the tickets I've designed so far.
